PEOPLE YOU SHOULD KNOW: Debbie Bosanko and Caroline Brown

County residents with Parkinson’s now have a new exercise option out of Lansing, thanks to two women and their eagerness to help. Debbie Bosanko has been teaching an exercise class for people with Parkinson’s for years. Then she heard about a program called Rock Steady Boxing, which helped slow the progression of Parkinson’s. She wanted to become a coach but the cost was prohibitive. Then came Caroline Brown. Brown wanted her charity money to something more than calender’s and pamphlets so when she too heard about Rock Steady Boxing she signed up for the course and when she found Bosanko she gave her the spot she had paid for. Now they’ve opened up a Rock Steady Boxing affiliate right here in the Finger Lakes.
